Thank you to all our 2021-2022 Sponsors!
We would like to thank our 2021-2022 sponsors for their generous contributions this year. Our accomplishments would not have been possible without your support. Because of your help, we were able to start a team in spite of the pandemic’s uncertainty and become the only competing team out of York Region District School Board.
At our first ever event, we advanced to the semi finals, were the Highest Rookie Seed, and won the coveted Rookie All-Star Award, celebrating the rookie team most exemplifying qualities of a Chairman’s Award team in the making. The award recognizes strong partnership efforts, as well as implementing the mission of FIRST to inspire STEM in youth. Our successes continued at our second event, where we were once more the Highest Rookie Seed.
Qualifying for the FIRST Ontario Provincial Championship, we continued our inaugural season by placing 22 out of 67 teams, achieving once again Highest Rookie Seed. This was accompanied by the Judge’s Award, acknowledging our team’s unique efforts, commitments, and performance. Our year-round consistency qualified the team to attend the World Championship in Houston, but were unfortunately unable to attend due to school board travel restrictions.
We again express our sincere appreciation and gratitude for your continued support over the season. Our successes would not have been possible without your assistance and we hope to work with you in the following seasons.

Sable Metal
Sable Metal Fabrication was established in 2004, initially providing only laser cutting. We’ve been very successful in this area and our customers have demanded that we extend this success into other areas. Based on our customer’s confidence we added a seven axis brake press, and can now offer forming (bending), laser cutting and other services. Sable Metal can compete on anything from small custom projects to large repeat orders. We provide competitive costs and fast delivery. All our customers receive the same benefits including superior customer service and a quality product that meets your needs.
We maintain a competitive edge by investing in the best technology available, both machinery and software. We currently have seven axis bending, complete order tracking through software, and our lights out laser cutting operation. By investing continually in the company and applying innovative techniques, we hope to never reach full capacity and always be able to provide same day delivery when our customers need it. That is the kind of service we can offer.
